Marea Batroun is a collaboration between GREENSTUDIOS, Jamil Saab & Co., New York architects Amale Andraos and Dan Wood of WORKac AIA NY Awards, Honor in Architecture, 2023. This technically complex project features hydroponic green walls applied in triangular shapes with various sun exposures. Its proximity to the sea and exposure to salty sprays adds another layer of complexity in plant selection. For the first time, sedum plants were used on all its roofs, ensuring very low water consumption while blending with Batroun’s semi-native coastal plants.
